ety of courses are taught by our renowned faculty during a four- or five-d
ay training. Registrants have the opportunity to attend several courses\,
earn Continuing Education\, network with CISM practitioners from around th
e world\, discuss CISM team issues with ICISF faculty and staff\, and fulf
ill program requirements for ICISF&rsquo\;s Certificate of Specialized Tra
ining Program.

to Active Military\, Veterans\, Students\, and Groups of five or more. For

awards partial/full scholarships to assist individuals who are unable to a

\nAll ICISF training pa
rticipants will be awarded general Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from
UMBC on their Certificate of Attendance. At the end of the Regional Traini
ng you will receive a course evaluation via email. After completing the co
urse evaluation you will be emailed a link to print your certificate. &nbs
p\;All participants are required to check in at the ICISF Registration Des
k before the start of your course each day in order to verify attendance.<

\nUMBC CEUs are awarded at a ratio of one Continuing Educatio
n Unit for every 10 Contact Hours (refer to course descriptions for Contac
t Hours &\; UMBC CEUs). ICISF Certificates of Attendance are not proof
of profession specific CE/Contact Hours. Many national\, state and local l
icensing boards and professional organizations will grant Continuing Educa
tion credit for attendance at our courses (save this information and your
Certificate of Attendance). It is the responsibility of the participant to

Professional Development Hours (PDHs) are available for Employee Assistanc
e Professionals for courses offered at this training. The number of approv
ed PDHs depends on the course selected\, and is equal to the number of con
tact (instructional) hours for that course. If applying for PDHs for EAPs\
, please request during registration and CE information will be emailed to
you approximately one week after the Regional Training. Completion of the
course evaluation is required in order to receive your CEUs.

\nAll courses offered at this training meet the qualifications for 7\, 13
or 14 hours (depending on the course attended) of contact hours for Natio
nal Certified Addiction Counselors by NAADAC\, The Association for Addicti
on Professionals\, Provider Approval No. 497. If applying for NAADAC\, ple
ase request during registration and CE information will be emailed to you
approximately one week after the Regional Training. Completion of the cour
se evaluation is required in order to receive your CEUs.

\nCertifications:
\nThe University of Maryland Baltimore
County (UMBC) Department of Emergency Health Services in partnership with
the UMBC Training Centers is now offering a certification in Critical Inci
dent Stress Management (CISM). This is the world&rsquo\;s first university
-based certification in the field of CISM and psychological crisis interve
ntion.
\n
\nThe goal of the certification is to foster improved
knowledge about crisis intervention and disaster response from the CISM pe
rspective. In doing so\, it is hoped that research and practice shall be e
nhanced. The certification is exam-based\, delivered online and using an o
pen-book format. ICISF approved instructors may want to be among the first
to earn the UMBC Certification.

\nAll courses offered by ICISF meet partial req
uirements for individuals seeking certification from the Association of Tr
aumatic Stress Specialists (ATSS) as a Certified Trauma Specialist (CTS)\,
Certified Trauma Responder (CTR)\, and/or Certified Trauma Services Speci
alist (CTSS) designation. ATSS offers board certification to qualified ind
ividuals who provide services\, intervention\, and treatment in the field
of traumatic stress. Those seeking certification from ATSS must present ev
idence of attendance for specific course. For information regarding certif
