Ensuring higher ethical standards!

The major focus of this conference is ensuring higher ethical standards, integrity and professionalism in business and trade.

Our actions have a profound impact on others, more particularly, on our own colleagues, friends and family members. If we are not ethical, not only do we undermine our own business or profession but we might possibly endanger the safety and security of other individuals associated with us. Ethical behavior is very important in workplace. Doing business involves the cooperation, support and active involvement of many people that include our own employees, managers, clients, suppliers, customers and sometimes even our competitors. Of course, ethics refer to a set of acceptable behavior in a work-setting or society.

Values and Morals!

While ethics is considered very important for a business, in the same way, professionalism and practicing moral values is important for those who are involved in professional practices. For instance, an advocate is expected to maintain confidentiality of his clients’ information and in the same way, a medical practitioner should not divulge the health secrets of his patients to anyone except to save his life. In other words, maintaining confidentiality and serving the society with a professional approach and attitude is very crucial and important. So, ethics, morals, values, integrity, sound character and clearly following the rules of the game are quite necessary to succeed in your business and profession in the long-run. In simpler terms, one has to follow the ethical code in his or her profession.

Against this backdrop, the upcoming academic research conference in Taipei would make an attempt to achieve the following objectives:

a) identify the best ethical and morals to be practiced by business with relevant examples and success stories;

b) examine the aspects that might lead to undermine the nature of business or profession when ethical issues are compromised;

c) provide an ideal platform for practicing managers, researchers and executives to share their research and practical experiences on all the major issues highlighted as above in organizations;

d) offer suitable suggestions to improve the way business is conducted clearly adopting the best practices in organizations.
