Aims and Scope

    The main objective of this conference is to bring people together from diverse disciplines to review progress and to exchange ideas in all aspects of biotechnology and bioengineering, with topics ranging from New Approaches & Methods; Cell and Immunology; Genomics & Molecular Biology; Biomaterials, Biopolymers & Bioenergy; Biomedicine, Pharmacology & Toxicology; Biomedical Engineering & Techniques; and other related aspects. 

Why attend

    The conference is designed to promote interactive discussions at both the talks and poster sessions, and will feature a mix of invited speakers drawn from a wide variety of backgrounds and experiences. The conference is therefore purposely broad to cover all aspects of biotechnology and bioengineering, a unique combination that is highly appreciated by the participants. Given the excellent line up of speakers and the meeting’s outstanding reputation, this is a ‘must’ attend for anyone interested in cutting edge research in biotechnology and bioengineering.

Publications

    After peer review, all accepted abstract will be published in conference abstract book. Selected full papers will be published in Conference Proceeding with ISSN and will be submited to CPCI for index, or to be considered for publishing in journals indexed by SCIE.

Language

    The conference will be conducted in English Language and no simultaneous translation provided.

Currently, his researches focus on GDNF receptors and GDNF function in glioma and PD. His researches involve many subjects comprising of migration and proliferation of glioma cells, epigenetic mechanism, dopaminergic neurons. He also has 4 patents on his researches. Edited books like “Etiology and pathophysiology of Parkinson’s disease” and “Striatum: Anatomy, Functions and Role in Disease”. Editor of Chinese Journal of Neuroanatomy, reviewer of Neuroscience Letter, Evaluation expert of the national natural science research fund project and China postdoctoral fund project. He has a B.S. in clinical Medicine, M.S. in Neuro-anatomy, and Ph.D. in Neurobiology.

Prof. Dr. Jürgen Rühe
IMTEK – Department of Microsystems Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of Freiburg, Germany
He was the Managing Director of the Department of Microsystems Engineering and the founding director of the Freiburg Institute for Advanced Studies (FRIAS). From 2006 to 2020 he served as Vice Rector for Internationalization and Technology Transfer of the University of Freiburg.
Research interests: Polymers at interfaces, metamaterials, surface modification, biomedical surfaces, micro- and nanostructuring of surfaces, anti-(bio)fouling strategies, biosensors, surface analysis.

Prof. Dr. Tatsuo Omata
Graduate School of Bioagricultural Sciences, Nagoya University, Japan
He has been working on CO2 and nitrate assimilation of cyanobacteria and published more than 90 papers in reputed journals.
His research at the laboratory aims at better understanding the ways plants and algae acquire energy, carbon, and nitrogen. It seeks to understand the events involved, in terms of basic mechanism, and to discover the ways they are integrated and regulated so as to determine the response of the photosynthetic organisms to different physical and chemical environments.
The research projects focus on the areas of plant biochemistry, molecular biology, and physiology, etc.

Prof. Jan is a senior member of IEEE and a member of EURASIP. He was or is serving as Associate Editor for several international journals and served as a programme committee member or session organiser of many international conferences, a.o. IEEE – EMBC, IEEE – ICASSP and ISBI, Eurasip - EUSIPCO, IFMBE, WOC and others.

Dr. Rina Rosin-Arbesfeld
Department of Clinical Microbiology and Immunology, Sackler School of medicine, Tel Aviv University 
Rosin-Arbesfeld's research group have been involved in developing a novel treatment strategy based on mutation stop-codon read-through in key genes. This read-through platform is currently used to develop specific drugs against spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) by BioBlast Pharma and is in clinical trials as a treatment for patients suffering from Familial Adenomatous Polyposis (FAP).
In other aspects of her work, Dr. Rosin-Arbesfeld is focusing of different aspects of the Wnt pathway and is currently establishing methods for prolonging the life span of Red Blood Cells (RBCs).

Mathematical Biology & Physiology, Dept. of Electronics and Telecommunications, Politecnico di Torino, Italy
Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, Italy. He is the head of the research group on Mathematical Biology & Physiology. His research activities are devoted to the processing of signals or images extracted from biological and physiological systems and to the development of mathematical models for the interpretation of the recorded data. Applications are mainly focused on the investigation of biological systems or on the development of new biomedical tools. Recent works concern the simulation of spiral waves using a model of electromechanical coupling in the heart, the investigation of the central venous pressure, the processing of multiple data reflecting the responses of the Autonomous Nervous System and the simulation and processing of bioelectric signals.

His research focuses on Sports Medicine, including Sports Medicine, Exercise Science, Sports Science, Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sports Injuries, Exercise Performance, Nutrition and Exercise Performance. The research of David D. McFadden, M.D., focuses on alternative and complementary methods and treatments for smoking cessation.
Dr. McFadden is particularly interested in exploring how a person's mind, attitudes and beliefs impact nicotine addiction. He is exploring alternative acupuncture protocols and spirituality as potential treatments for nicotine addiction. Future studies may involve herbal remedies, Tai Qi and Qi Gung.
